Let your technical interest contribute to a sustainable world! Do you want to be part of creating safe and sustainable buildings through cutting-edge technology? At Siemens Smart Infrastructure, you'll become a key person in our work helping customers elevate their fire safety to the next level. By combining your technical expertise with digital solutions, you'll become the customer's strategic partner and "trusted advisor." We're now looking for a committed service engineer specializing in fire alarm systems for our office in Uppsala. Welcome to apply! About the role As a service engineer specializing in fire alarms at Siemens, you'll receive your own customer territory where you're responsible for ensuring operational-reliable, modern, and future-proof fire alarm systems. You'll work with some of Sweden's most advanced security installations and use modern digital tools to streamline your work. The role combines technology, problem-solving, and close customer contact. Through your expertise and advice, you'll contribute to increased safety, higher operational reliability, and long-term value for the customer. With us, you'll be doing things like: Manage service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor development work in customers' fire alarm systems. Drive minor improvement and expansion projects and participate in developing existing customer environments. Provide technical advice and serve as sales support for digital services (such as remote support, cRSP, and cloud services) that save time and resources. Use modern digital tools and remote-connected solutions to create safe and efficient workflows. Plan, prioritize, and structure your own day with great freedom under responsibility, based on customer scheduling and business priorities. The majority of the work takes place in Uppsala and the surrounding area, which means you'll normally be home each evening (some travel within the districts of Dalarna, Gävleborg, and Uppsala counties may occur, and optional on-call duty is in place). About the team You'll be part of a committed team of about 18 employees in Uppsala who work in the field with both service and projects. We work closely together, share knowledge, and help each other create successful deliveries to our customers. "Here you get to work with technically advanced installations while being part of a team where we support each other and share knowledge. We believe the best solutions are created together." — Daniel Blomdahl, Recruiting Manager Who are you? We warmly welcome you regardless of where you are in your career – whether you're coming straight from relevant post-secondary education and ready to take your first steps, or whether you're more senior and experienced and want to tackle new exciting challenges! What matters most to us is your technical interest, your development potential, and your desire to create value for our customers. You'll receive structured onboarding and full support from experienced colleagues to gradually grow into the role. Requirements for the position: Strong knowledge of Swedish and English (both spoken and written). Class B driver's license. We believe you have: Experience with programming or commissioning (preferably in fire alarms or security systems). Good computer skills and an interest in digital tools. Understanding of customer needs and a business-minded, customer-oriented approach. Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations in the field (e.g., SBF). Experience with networks, system integration, and evacuation alarms with voice messaging. Experience with technical coordination, project management, or systematic fire protection work (SBA). A results-oriented, structured, and customer-oriented approach. If you don't meet all the requirements but feel the role matches your competencies and ambition, we encourage you to apply anyway!
