Senior Project Manager in Railway and Electric Power – Gothenburg Area About the Assignment We are seeking a highly experienced senior project manager for a long-term consulting assignment within railway infrastructure with a particular focus on electric power and overhead line systems. You will work on complex railway projects through both design and construction phases and will have overall responsibility for driving work toward established targets for time, cost, quality and scope as well as coordinating multiple technical areas. The assignment requires very extensive experience from railway environments and is suitable for you if you have previously held leading responsibility in larger projects including overhead line systems, BEST, switches, ground works and adjacent technical areas. Work Responsibilities Lead and direct the project organization through design and construction phases. Monitor time, cost, quality, scope and project deliverables. Work with risk management, work environment risks, budgeting and financial forecasts. Coordinate BEST, ground works, geotechnics and other affected technical areas. Develop and quality assure technical and commercial documentation for consulting and construction contracts. Lead design meetings, construction meetings and other working meetings. Review drawings, technical documentation and deliverables from designers and contractors. Monitor contracts and manage deviations and notifications. Work with site monitoring, inspection, final documentation and handover. Work with risk follow-up and financial project management in established project systems. Requirements for the Role To be a candidate, all of the following requirements must be clearly demonstrated in your CV. Note that requirements 2 and 3 are particularly crucial and are expected to eliminate a large portion of applicants. At least 8 years of experience as a project manager on railway projects where BEST, ground works and geotechnics were included. At least one relevant assignment where you worked as a representative for the client side. At least 5 years of work as a project manager on a single project regarding overhead line replacement on double-track main line – the experience must be from the past 8 years, have included both preparation of documentation prior to contract and the contract phase, and the project budget must have been at least 500 MSEK. Experience as a project manager preparing documentation for switch replacement on double-track main line, including BEST and ground works, in at least one project within the past 10 years. Experience as a project manager for railway bridge replacement in at least one project within the past 15 years. Experience as a design manager within BEST Railway in at least one assignment within the past 15 years. Experience as a project manager or sub-project manager for both preparatory documentation and contract for catenary pole replacement on a section of at least 5 mil within the past 10 years. Experience as a design manager BEST for platform extension in at least one project within the past 15 years. Experience as a construction manager for switch replacement in at least one project within the past 15 years. At least two years of upper secondary education with a focus on electrical/telecommunications engineering. Very good knowledge of contract law and good familiarity with relevant laws, standards and technical regulations. Category B driver's license. Good Swedish and English language skills, both spoken and written. Meritorious Practical experience with project risk management systems and financial forecast management in large infrastructure projects. Work Location and Structure The assignment is full-time and is based in the Gothenburg area. The work includes both project management and meetings as well as monitoring of ongoing railway work and coordination with project organization and contractors.
