Senior Kubernetes Engineer for manufacturing company in Lund
We are seeking a Senior Kubernetes Engineer for a consulting assignment at a company in Lund where you will design, build, and maintain container platforms. These platforms will provide stable operations for both cloud-based and on-premises systems. You will be part of an organization that supports production environments in manufacturing facilities, which means some maintenance work will need to occur during scheduled production shutdowns.
Your Assignment
- Design, deploy, upgrade, and scale Kubernetes clusters in on-premises environments
- Configure and manage security controls in Kubernetes, including RBAC, network policies, and admission controllers
- Optimize cluster performance by fine-tuning CPU and memory allocation
- Manage storage via CSI and networking via CNI solutions
- Build and maintain automated deployment and GitOps pipelines with Helm, Argo CD, and Flux
- Implement and support solutions for monitoring, logging, and observability
- Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to strengthen platform stability and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Kubernetes and infrastructure
Please note that some work may occur outside regular office hours, related to scheduled production shutdowns.
Must Have
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture
- Experience with Docker and Linux administration
- Knowledge of Helm charts and Argo CD
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash
- Understanding of network topologies
- Knowledge of network security and firewalls
- Fluent English
Meritorious
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible, but not required
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps
- Experience with Windows Server OS
- Fluent Swedish
📍 Scope: 40 hours per week
