Description Circulation and Water is responsible for delivering Gothenburg's drinking water and managing wastewater safely and sustainably. Operations encompass maintenance and development of pipe networks, pump stations, and technical facilities for water, wastewater, and waste management. The Electrical Unit handles electrical operations and maintenance work, primarily at technical facilities on the pipe network such as pump stations, reservoirs, and flow meters. The team also participates in new construction and renovation projects. The unit is responsible for how our technical facilities are controlled and regulated. The group works with safety systems and consists of electricians, instrument technicians, automation engineers, safety technicians, and operations engineers. As an operations engineer, you'll have a great opportunity to work with the team to shape how work is organized. Your work team consists of electricians and engineers with many years of experience and broad industry knowledge. The Electrical Unit focuses more on operations-related tasks, and as a technical specialist you'll be involved in full processes related to operations, maintenance, and development projects. In daily operations, you'll work on troubleshooting and support other staff in this area. You'll also work on design reviews, facility renovation, and operations optimization. It's broad and varied work as our facilities include: • General electrical installations • Automation, regulation and control equipment • Pump systems • Measuring instruments • Backup power • Multiple high and low voltage switchboards We perform a societally critical function, so quickly addressing faults is central to what we do! No two days are the same, and if you have drive and interest, development opportunities are excellent. On-call duty may be part of the position. Qualifications To succeed in this position, we see that you have: Higher education or technical secondary education (gymnasieingenjör) with a focus on electrical power, installation, or automation, or alternatively experience and credentials we deem equivalent Approximately 5-10 years of experience as a service electrician Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams Experience participating in FAT and SAT tests Driver's license category B Practical experience in electrical installation work and/or authorization for compliance management is a merit, as is experience and knowledge of switchboards. It's also a great advantage if you have experience in project participation and understanding of the importance of following a timeline.
