Assignment Period: October 2026 – October 2027 Scope: 40 hours/week Location: Stockholm/Kungsholmen with opportunity for remote work About the Assignment We are seeking a self-driven and experienced Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in .NET and DevOps for a long-term assignment with a vital public sector organization in public transportation. You will become an important part of an agile and cross-functional team developing the next generation of digital travel experiences. The focus includes further development and modernization of digital services and websites used by a large number of travelers every day. Together with another senior developer, you will have a key role in the team and work with backend development, cloud services, deployment, and operations. Technology and Environment The development environment is modern and characterized by a high degree of automation, quality, and independence. The technology stack consists mainly of: Backend: .NET / .NET Core, microarchitecture, and microservices DevOps: CI/CD, automated pipelines, and deployment Cloud: Microsoft Azure Container Technology: Docker and Kubernetes Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent Frontend: React in monorepo structure Work Approach: Agile, cross-functional, with strong focus on testability, performance, and automation The team consists of approximately 13 people with expertise in backend, mobile development, testing, UX, product management, and team leadership. Your Responsibilities In this role, you will among other things: Develop and further develop backend solutions in .NET/.NET Core Design and implement microservices Develop and maintain automated build and deployment processes Work with Azure and Kubernetes Develop and manage container-based solutions Work with Infrastructure as Code Contribute to high quality, robustness, security, and performance in solutions Streamline integrations between different systems and services Work closely with product owners and other team members to ensure delivery against business needs Take responsibility for deploying and operating the systems maintained by the team On-call support is included in the assignment. This is a consulting assignment and you will be employed by A-Talent Tech Stockholm. We Are Looking for You If You Have At least 8 years of documented backend development experience At least 5 years of experience with .NET or .NET Core At least 3 years of experience with microservices At least 3 years of experience with automated build and deployment environments At least 2 years of experience with Azure, including development and deployment At least 3 years of experience with container orchestration, for example Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS, Fargate, or OpenShift At least 2 years of experience in cross-functional teams with product responsibility, including responsibility for delivery and follow-up against internal or external customers At least 1 year of experience with Infrastructure as Code, for example Terraform or Bicep Meritorious Experience It is particularly meritorious if you have: Experience improving performance, robustness, or security in code as well as streamlining integration flows Experience with journey planning systems, for example EFA JourneyPlanner Experience with backend development in Java Experience with message services/message brokers/pub-sub, for example Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT, SignalR, or equivalent As a Person We believe you are someone who enjoys taking responsibility and driving work forward.
