About the Position
We are now recruiting summer substitute staff for our Medical Transport services in Dalarna, summer 2027. Placements available in Avesta, Ludvika, Falun, Borlänge, Leksand, Vansbro, Malung, Mora, and Särna.
Working in medical transport is often a challenging and exciting job. High demands are placed on you as a vehicle driver and your physical endurance. Our recruitment process therefore differs from standard healthcare. Our requirements are set both because they are necessary to perform the work itself, and to prevent workplace injuries.
Tests for the summer substitute position will be held in Falun week 49, to which you will be invited. The tests consist of a physical test, driving test, and interview. After passing the test, selection takes place for introductory training.
Preference regarding placement location will be discussed during the interview.

Job Responsibilities
As a nursing assistant in medical transport, you will arrange transport of bedridden patients between care facilities or to/from home for patients with specific care needs. You work independently. Day and night shifts.
You will work closely with the ambulances in the region.
Qualifications
We place great emphasis on personal suitability where you are engaged, flexible, and capable of working independently.
Requirements:
Ambulance care training, nursing assistant, or ongoing nursing education
Valid driver's license category B and driving license held for at least 2 years
Swimming proficiency 200 m, certificate required
Completed and passed tests

Information about the Job Title
As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means you need a certificate from Socialstyrelsen (National Board of Health and Welfare) to use the title nursing assistant in care and health services. You can apply for the certificate from July 1, 2023 onwards. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in care and health services, but under a different title than nursing assistant. For you who are offered work with us at Region Dalarna after July 1, this means the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new rules came into effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the nursing assistant title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplace/employer after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected professional title to use the nursing assistant title.
