Ref: 20262053 Duties Unit 5 within the Socialpsychiatry, Housing and Children Department is now seeking a substitute section manager as one of our colleagues will be on leave for approximately 1.5 years. As section manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, planning and distributing work within the operation. You are responsible for personnel, work environment and finances, as well as the administration that follows with these areas of responsibility. Together with your team members, you organize, lead and develop the operation based on established goals, always with the user's needs and participation in focus. We work recovery-focused and use MI (motivational interviewing) as an important tool in our work. Through active, close and communicative leadership, you create good conditions for your employees to succeed in their mission and for the operation to be conducted with high quality. In your management role, it is also important that you, in collaboration with other managers, create conditions for skills development, engagement and job satisfaction. Together in the unit, we work to ensure that our working days are characterized by a positive work environment and you become an important member of the unit's management team. You have support in your role from the unit manager, other section managers, management support and development secretary, as well as the corporate functions' communications, finance and HR departments. As a manager in the City of Malmö and the Support Services Administration, we also offer you: skills development, manager forums, manager networks, flexible hours and wellness allowance. Qualifications We are seeking someone with higher education corresponding to at least 180 hp with a focus on disability, behavioral science or another degree that the employer considers equivalent. Management or leadership training is a merit. You have experience of a full management role with responsibility for budget, work environment and personnel. You have previous experience of social work within socialpsychiatry or LSS, and if you have previously worked with the target group autism, mental health issues or substance abuse problems, we consider that a merit. We require that you have good computer skills, experience with administrative systems and good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. As a person, you are confident, calm and stable, and you lead through trust, engagement and clear communication. You have a very good ability to collaborate and create participation by listening, inspiring and building trust. With your ability to structure, organize and prioritize, you contribute to efficient and well-functioning work, even during periods of high pace or change. In the Support Services Administration, over 3,000 employees work together to create and develop even better support and services for people with disabilities. Our operations are within LSS, socialpsychiatry, personal assistance, guide services, relief services and healthcare. Seriously ill children cared for at home are also part of our mandate.
