As a section manager, you will lead the work of shaping the regulations that govern tomorrow's road transport, both nationally and internationally. You have direct personnel, operational and budget responsibility for a section with 13 dedicated employees, mainly located in Borlänge. The section works broadly with highly current and strategic issues within the road transport field. This includes, among other things, electrification, automated vehicles, connected and intelligent transport systems, vehicle emissions, fuels and land-based transport infrastructure. The section's work has significant societal impact, which requires you to be able to balance many different perspectives and aspects in regulatory work. As a section manager, you drive early dialogue and invite external stakeholders to create involvement in our strategic assignments. You also ensure that the section functions as expert support to the government, other authorities, organizations and citizens, and that we follow applicable processes for international regulation and reporting. Your leadership As a manager, you are responsible for operations within your section and you actively work with personnel, budget and work environment issues. You lead and create good conditions for employees in their work and represent the employer. As a manager at the Swedish Transport Agency, you actively participate in management team work where you should contribute to developing both your own operations and the Swedish Transport Agency in a positive way within the framework of our mission with citizens and business in focus. The work is mainly performed at the workplace, but remote work can be a complement when deemed appropriate based on operational needs and the nature of work tasks.
