The Culture Administration works to promote a broad art and cultural life for everyone to participate in. We work for a sustainable and open city that places culture and art at the center. The Culture Administration has approximately 800 employees who primarily work in libraries, cultural centers, museums, and other cultural activities. Job Responsibilities Kulturrummet is a three-year project in collaboration with Gårdstensbostäder to explore new ways to engage with residents of Gårdsten and other stakeholders in the area. As coordinator for Kulturrummet Gårdsten, you will work with an active program where users are the focus. Together with colleagues, you will make the activities accessible to our visitors. You will be part of an operation characterized by great commitment and an opportunity to further develop the activities together with other staff. You will report directly to the unit manager and be part of a team that coordinates activities from a holistic perspective. The position is shared, where approximately 50 percent of the assignment involves a coordinating role focused on developing and coordinating activities, and approximately 50 percent involves hosting and staffing Kulturrummet. In the coordinating part, you coordinate the daily operations in consultation with the unit manager and drive development work and improved work methods. You collaborate with external stakeholders and lead activity meetings. You also participate in cross-departmental forums and collaboration projects. In the hosting part, you work with program activities and reading promotion initiatives and serve in public-facing operations. Here you are one of those staffing Kulturrummet and meeting visitors directly. The position is a fixed-term contract at 100% until June 2027. The work involves day, evening, and weekend shifts according to schedule. Qualifications We are looking for you who have: A university degree in culture or other education that the employer considers equivalent Experience working as a program producer or similar work planning and implementing program or cultural activities Experience in coordination or management Good ability to communicate in speech and writing in Swedish It is meritorious if you have: Experience working with target groups in Angered or northeastern Gothenburg Experience in personal cultural practice or artistic work Knowledge of languages other than Swedish and English Who thrives in this role?
