Department of Security and Preparedness Region Uppsala's management office is part of Region Uppsala, one of Uppsala County's largest employers. Our Operations We are now seeking an engaged security strategist to coordinate Region Uppsala's work against welfare fraud, corruption, unauthorized influence, and other irregularities. The position is located at Region Uppsala's management office, Department of Security and Preparedness, Unit Against Welfare Fraud. The unit currently has three employees. We use a flexible work approach, which means you can alternate your work time between working in the office and working remotely. Your Assignment The position is characterized largely by strategic work but also operational support to various operations. The tasks include: • Developing Region Uppsala's capacity to prevent, monitor, respond, support, collaborate, and increase knowledge regarding welfare fraud. • Providing support to operations in investigations, reviews, and reporting to various authorities. • Collaborating with municipalities in the county and with state agencies such as IVO, the Police, the Economic Crime Authority, the Swedish Tax Agency, and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. • Collaborating internally and developing routines and working methods in the welfare fraud area. Your Qualifications • Swedish citizenship • Relevant higher education, or alternatively other education and work experience that we consider equivalent and relevant for the position • Experience in crime prevention or investigative work against welfare fraud and irregularities such as corruption, fraud, and incorrect payments within public operations. • Knowledge of Swedish welfare systems. The assignment also involves preparing decision-making documents, handling matters, and responding to inquiries, which is why the position requires excellent Swedish language skills in both speech and writing, as well as pedagogical ability. Meritorious • Experience in operations development. • Experience in procurement, purchasing, and contract monitoring. • Experience in internal controls or controller work • Experience in legal or economic investigative work Your Competencies We place high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness.
