We are now seeking a Security Specialist for Preparedness and Civil Defense for the Operational Security and Preparedness department within the Security Unit at Vattenfall Eldistribution. In a time characterized by a changed security landscape, increased demands for resilience, and a rebuilt total defense, we need to continue developing our capacity to prevent, manage, and recover from serious disruptions, crises, and ultimately war. Responsibilities and Tasks As a Security Specialist for Preparedness and Civil Defense, you will be an important part of our work to develop and strengthen Vattenfall Eldistribution's capacity in crisis preparedness, civil defense, and total defense planning. You will work closely with operations, management, and external actors such as authorities, industry organizations, and other mission-critical operations. In this role, you will, among other things: Responsible for coordinating, developing, and monitoring Vattenfall Distribution's work in preparedness and civil defense Represent Vattenfall Distribution in group-wide forums for civil defense and contribute to coordination of shared capabilities and initiatives Develop and maintain plans for crisis preparedness, civil defense, and heightened readiness Support the development of the company's staff and war organization Plan, conduct, and evaluate exercises at strategic and operational levels Together with BCM contribute to the development of continuity planning and the organization's resilience with aspects of heightened readiness and war Coordinate work related to crisis management, preparedness, and total defense Participate in collaboration with authorities, Svenska kraftnät, the Swedish Armed Forces, MSB, and other external actors Conduct analyses, training, and information initiatives within the field Monitor developments in legislation, authority requirements, and the external environment regarding preparedness and civil defense Develop and be responsible for the organization's preparedness plan Lead and coordinate the organization's Risk and Vulnerability Analysis (RSA) for heightened readiness and war Responsible for the organization's war assignments for personnel Requirements We are looking for someone who has: Academic education in security, risk management, societal security, crisis preparedness, total defense, or other education that the employer deems equivalent Work experience in preparedness, crisis management, continuity management, risk management, or total defense Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing Experience in driving development work and collaborating with different stakeholders It is meritorious if you have experience with: Staff work or crisis management Exercise planning and evaluation Work within the energy sector or other mission-critical operations Security protection Work with civil defense and total defense matters Who Are You?
