The agency is in strong development and the assignment within total defense places demands on the university to be leading within security protection. Security protection activities are highly prioritized and an integrated part of operational support. Security protection activities are led by the security chief who is also the security protection chief. The Security Department is a developing department, part of operational support, and is responsible for security and security protection. Job responsibilities As security and security protection chief, you have overall responsibility for the agency's work within security protection, security, and an active role in the Swedish Defence University's preparedness work. At the educational institution, you are operationally responsible for certain areas and collaborate with other parts of FHS regarding security protection. You are responsible for developing FHS's strategic security work and participate in the work with FHS's crisis and preparedness organization. The security chief participates in SUHF's security chiefs network to develop the entire sector's work within the framework of security, security protection, and preparedness, as well as the Swedish Armed Forces' work within the framework of preparedness capacity and basic operational planning. Main responsibilities: - Responsibility for developing, planning, coordinating, and following up the agency's security, security protection, and preparedness work based on the agency's applicable laws, regulations, and steering letters. - Responsibility for monitoring, management, and control of security, security protection, and preparedness work and preparedness capacity. - Responsibility for developing the agency's methods and internal regulations for security, security protection, and preparedness work. - Contribute to the development of FHS's war, crisis, and preparedness organization. - Responsibility for FHS's internal training and exercise activities within security, security protection, and crisis, continuity, and preparedness capacity. - Responsibility for internal investigations, high-risk travels, high-level visits, and events through the implementation of security protection analyses, security plans, and support in various security assessments. The security chief reports to the university director and is part of the operational support management group. On security protection matters, you report directly to the rector. Who are we looking for? We are looking for you who have: - Relevant university education at least at the bachelor's level that the institution finds relevant. - Substantial experience working in security, security protection, and preparedness areas. - Several years of management and leadership responsibility with personnel responsibility. - Experience working in the security field in the public sector. - Experience leading change and development work. - Experience leading and conducting security protection and risk analyses. - Experience in crisis management and incident and continuity management. It is a merit if you have: - Experience in security work within the higher education sector or defense. About the employment This is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period. The employment involves placement in a security class. Upon placement in a security class, security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Swedish citizenship may be required. The employment may involve war placement. If you are already war-placed in your current employment at an agency and your competence is needed in the Swedish Defence University's war organization, negotiations will take place between the relevant agency and the Swedish Defence University regarding where you should be placed.
