Chief Inspector, Strategic Development and Public Relations Division, Main Administration Requirements for job applicants: Compliance with the requirements stipulated in Articles 4 and 7 of the Service Law for officials with special service ranks in institutions of the Ministry of Interior and the Prison Administration: - Be a citizen of Latvia; - Age between 18 and 50 years; - Physical fitness meets the requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet Regulations No. 288 of 28.05.2013 "Physical Fitness Requirements for Officials with Special Service Ranks in Institutions of the Ministry of Interior and the Prison Administration"); - Health condition and psychological characteristics meet the requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet Regulations No. 970 of 21.11.2006 "Regulations on Health Condition and Psychological Characteristics Required for Officials with Special Service Ranks in Institutions of the Ministry of Interior and the Prison Administration, Candidates for Official Positions, and the Procedure for Checking Health Condition and Psychological Characteristics"); - Not convicted or sentenced for intentional criminal offenses, or not held criminally liable for committing an intentional criminal offense; - Required higher education (bachelor's degree) or second-level professional higher education in law, social and human sciences, humanities, business and administration, civil and military defense, or information and communication sciences (journalism and communications education program group); - Required 3 years of service experience in the State Border Guard or service (work) in the interior, justice, or foreign affairs sectors in the field of international relations; - Desirable experience in European Union affairs or international cooperation; - Desirable experience and knowledge in website administration; - Required ability to work with computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, email and internet browsers); - Required good English language proficiency at minimum B2 level (for communication with cooperation partners); - Before taking office, it is necessary to obtain a Category 3 (confidential) special permit for access to state secret facilities. Main job responsibilities: - Develop, coordinate, and promote internal and external communication of the State Border Guard with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (hereinafter – FRONTEX), the European Union Agency for Asylum (hereinafter – EUAA), the European Union Law Enforcement Training Centre (hereinafter – CEPOL), and other European Union institutions; - Participate in ensuring the State Border Guard's obligations to European Union institutions in the interior affairs and justice sectors; - Conduct evaluation of European Union initiatives and develop proposals for national positions in interior affairs or justice; - Represent the State Border Guard in European Union institutions (including agencies); - Post information about planned and implemented activities of FRONTEX, EUAA, CEPOL, and other European Union institutions and their operational results on the State Border Guard website and in other media publications; - Create informational materials about the State Border Guard on social media platforms, promoting State Border Guard personnel applications for selection and participation in FRONTEX joint operations, EUAA expert involvement; - Organize and conduct interviews with FRONTEX Permanent Corps experts deployed in the territory of the Republic of Latvia; - Publish information about visits of leading foreign officials to the Republic of Latvia within the framework of events organized by FRONTEX, EUAA, CEPOL, and other European Union institutions; - Prepare and distribute press releases, news, information notices, and other types of publications about the State Border Guard's cooperation with FRONTEX, EUAA, CEPOL, and other European Union institutions; - Organize press conferences, information campaigns, and public relations events.
