At our Water and Sewage Department in Nynäshamn, you will have a key role in ensuring sustainable and well-functioning infrastructure. You will work as a pipe fitter to ensure that the delivery of water and sewage services runs 24/7, year-round. You will also contribute to developing the facility's delivery reliability. Work Tasks As a pipe fitter, your main task within the department is to perform work focused on the operation and maintenance of existing water and sewage lines and their associated facilities and equipment. There is also new installation and renewal of water and sewage lines with associated equipment. Part of your daily work involves documenting field work to ensure that applicable routines and regulations are followed. The Infrastructure and Building Administration is responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of the municipality's properties, water and sewage systems, and public spaces. The Water and Sewage Department has overall responsibility for water and sewage matters within the operational area for general water and sewage in Nynäshamn Municipality. The Department Head is responsible for the water and sewage utility functions and ensuring that this critical societal service operates. The Pipe Fitter role is placed in the Production and Distribution unit, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, pumping stations, and the operation and maintenance of the distribution network. What We're Looking For in You To succeed in this role, you have: Upper secondary education in Construction and Civil Engineering, or have otherwise acquired equivalent competence and professional experience 3-5 years of practical experience in pipe fitting within water and sewage or equivalent relevant experience Can read and understand drawings and pipe documentation Good knowledge of pipe materials, couplings and other equipment that are part of the water and sewage network Good knowledge of Swedish language in speech and writing and basic knowledge of English IT competence, the ability to familiarize yourself with planned work and report back after execution in relevant operation & maintenance systems (for example VA-Banken) Driver's license category B It is meritorious if you have: Work on roads steps 1.1-1.3 Diploma education in pipe network technology Training in butt and electrofusion welding of PE pipes Hygiene training Swedish Water Personal Qualities We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can follow given instructions and procedures and who engages in work tasks where you apply your professional skills with craftsmanship.
