Water and Wastewater Network
Are you an experienced installer or water and wastewater pipe fitter who wants to contribute to Uppsala's continued development? About the Position
As a pipe fitter, you'll execute both large and small projects where we replace our older pipelines. The work takes place outdoors regardless of weather and is physically demanding. You take an active role in workplace environment efforts and contribute to a safe workplace. You'll work with:
• Independently plan, coordinate, and perform pipe installation work on the water and wastewater pipeline network based on building plans and production schedules
• Establish and manage shutoffs according to applicable TA plans
• Excavation and pipe laying in accordance with AMA instructions
• Take responsibility for order and cleanliness at the workplace
• Restoration work after completed water and wastewater work
• Plan, coordinate, and perform temporary water and drainage during construction
• Take safety measures according to the workplace environment plan
• On-call duty may be part of the position (rotating on-call according to on-call schedule)
Qualifications
• Upper secondary school diploma
• Experience as a water and wastewater pipe fitter or other relevant experience from the construction industry
• Category B driver's license
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
It is advantageous if you also have:
• Education in construction and/or installation
• Category C driver's license
• Work on roads step 1–1.3 and step 2.2

Other Information
A large part of our operations is classified as critical infrastructure because we supply Sweden's fourth-largest city with drinking water. For this position, a security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment. You must also be prepared to be assigned to civil defense within the framework of Uppsala Vatten's role in total defense. Uppsala Vatten applies a 6-month probationary period.
