About Us Radiation Therapy at Sahlgrenska is Sweden's largest radiation therapy department. Our service area covers the Västra Götaland Region and Halland. We treat cancer patients of all ages. Before radiation therapy, patients undergo preparation in the form of a CT examination as the basis for dose planning. We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist who will initially work in CT, and after a year transition to specialized training in Radiation Therapy (45 credits). The training is provided by Gothenburg University and delivered during work hours with full salary. After completing the approved training, you will have radiation therapy competency and be able to administer radiation therapy to cancer patients. Radiation therapy is an exciting field with high patient benefit where the combination of patient care and high-tech expertise is challenging and rewarding! About the Position Dose planning CT has a different workflow than diagnostic CT, with protocols specifically developed for dose planning CT. Unlike diagnostic CT, the patient care component is a significant part of the work. About You To apply for this position, you must have a permanent employment at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
