We are now seeking two resource pedagogues for a temporary position at our adapted upper secondary school, with primary placement in the individual program (IND). Work close to the students In the individual program, you will meet students with very different strengths, prerequisites and needs. Some of our students require extensive support throughout the school day. Students may, for example, lack spoken language, use alternative ways to communicate, or have disabilities that require support in both teaching and other parts of daily life. As a resource pedagogue, you are therefore an important person in the student's school day. Your task is to work together with the responsible teachers and other colleagues to create conditions for the student to participate, communicate, learn and develop toward as much independence as possible. Your assignment You work close to the students and assist them in teaching based on the teacher's planning and the student's individual needs. An important part of the assignment is to be a pedagogical support that helps to streamline and enable the student's learning. The work encompasses the entire student's school day and may include: supporting students in teaching and other pedagogical activities helping the student with structure, communication and social interaction working with visual supports, signs or other alternative communication methods based on the student's needs contributing to safety, a good study environment and an accessible learning environment supporting students during meals, recreational activities, transfers and other daily situations providing individually adapted support in, for example, hygiene, toilet visits and changing clothes when the student's needs require it working closely with teachers and other resource pedagogues regarding students' development contributing to students developing their independence and having the opportunity to do as much as possible themselves. In your work, you need to be able to switch between a pedagogical and a care perspective. The goal is not to do things for the student, but to provide the right support so that the student can be as involved and independent as possible. Who are we looking for? For these positions, it is a requirement that you are trained as a nursing assistant. Your education provides you with an important foundation for meeting students who may have extensive and complex support needs. At the same time, you need to be interested in using your expertise in a pedagogical activity where the student's learning and development are central. It is a merit if you have previously worked with people with intellectual disabilities, in adapted schools or with children and young people with extensive support needs. Knowledge in AKK, TAKK, clarifying pedagogy and NPF is also a merit. We are looking for you as a person To thrive with us, you need to be secure, patient and relationship-building. You are flexible and solution-focused and can adapt yourself when a situation or a student's needs change. You can maintain calm even in challenging situations and have a professional approach to personal support and student privacy. Work at the adapted upper secondary school is teamwork. You therefore need to appreciate working closely with teachers, other resource pedagogues and student health professionals and understand how your own role contributes to the whole picture around the student. Work where small steps can be big steps In the individual program, development can look very different. It can be about a student finding a new way to express what they want, managing one more task independently, or daring to participate in an activity that was previously difficult. As a resource pedagogue, you have the opportunity to be part of that development every day.
