About the Position This is a direct hire, meaning the recruitment process takes place through Bravura and you are employed directly by Maskinab. About the Company Maskinab Teknik AB supplies machines, tools, and technical solutions to companies in the sheet metal and manufacturing industries. The product range includes edge presses, deburring machines, assembly presses, stamping tools, and laser cutting accessories. The company also provides service, technical support, spare parts, and consulting to help customers keep their production running. The business was founded in 1991 and has offices, warehouse, and a demo center in Alingsås. You become part of a small team where decision-making is fast and each employee has an important role. Maskinab Teknik AB offers service, support, and technical consulting focused on solving problems, reducing downtime, and extending the lifespan of customer equipment. Responsibilities As a traveling service technician, you are responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machines at customer sites throughout Sweden. Work takes place primarily on-site at customer locations and involves a combination of mechanical work and electrical troubleshooting. Customers are located across Sweden with a concentration from Gävle and southward. Travel is a natural part of the position, and overnight stays occur, estimated at 0-4 nights per week depending on customer needs. When delivering new machines, you are also responsible for training operators and ensuring that equipment is put into operation safely and efficiently. You plan much of your own work by booking service visits, preparing assignments, and documenting completed work. As part of a smaller company, you also get a business-oriented role where you help customers identify their need for spare parts, future service, and service agreements. For more advanced technical questions, you maintain ongoing contact with suppliers, often in English. Install and commission machines and train customer operators Perform preventive service, mechanical troubleshooting, and repairs at customer sites Plan and book your own service assignments and document work in the company system Maintain contact with customers and international suppliers regarding support and problem-solving Identify needs for spare parts and service and prepare quotes for existing customers Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities Experience with mechanical work Knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting Valid driver's license (B category) Fluent Swedish skills, spoken and written; good English skills, spoken and written To thrive in this role, you need to be able to take responsibility for an assignment from planning through completed documentation. There is no service coordinator distributing your workday, which means you book customer visits yourself, prioritize issues, and keep work moving forward. When an error doesn't have an obvious solution, you work methodically, test possible causes, and contact the supplier when needed. You are comfortable meeting different types of customers and can explain technical matters clearly and respectfully. Since you become an important part of a small team, you also need to be ready to help where needed. You share information with colleagues, identify business opportunities with customers, and take initiative without needing detailed instructions. At the same time, you are humble about things you don't yet know and have a clear desire to learn the company's machines and working methods.
