How You Contribute in Your Role as Principal As principal of Granbergsskolan, you have overall responsibility for the school's operations, quality work, personnel, and budget. The school consists of two units located close to each other: the East unit, for students in preschool class through grade 2, and the West unit, for students in grades 3 through 6. You lead and develop work at both units together with the deputy principal, with focus on student learning and well-being across the entire school. In collaboration with your employees and guardians, you ensure that the school at both its units is a safe and inspiring environment for all students. You are part of a management group with other school leaders, giving you the opportunity to collaborate and develop school leadership and yourself together with colleagues. We are looking for someone who is driven and motivated by working with operational development, pedagogical leadership, developing organizations, and building relationships. You will be part of, and are expected to be active in, the municipality's school leader group where we together support and help each other with shared development areas and leadership issues. Your Skills and Experience We are looking for someone who has: An academic degree focused on pedagogy Completed a Principal's Program Multiple years of current experience working as a manager with personnel and budget responsibility in primary school or comparable school form Multiple years of experience with systematic quality work in school operations Good knowledge of the governing documents, laws, and agreements that regulate the operations Developed pedagogical insight through experience. You have good skills in the Office suite and are comfortable working with digital tools. It is an asset if you have experience with operational systems such as Heroma, Qlik Sense, Stratsys, or PMO. We require good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. We are looking for someone with good overall perspective who can see connections between different parts of the operation. You are relationship-building, communicative, and create trusting collaborations with colleagues and other actors. You work in a structured manner, are good at prioritizing, and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously. As a person, you are confident, responsible, and self-driven. You take your own initiative, drive the work forward, and find constructive solutions when new challenges arise. You have mature and clear leadership and contribute to a positive work environment by leading with engagement, respect, and responsiveness.
