About the Operation Viskaforsskolan is characterized by a warm atmosphere where staff feel comfortable and collaborate closely with broad expertise. Viskaforsskolan is a grades 7-9 school with approximately 200 students and, together with the F-6 school, operates from an F-9 perspective with focus on students' entire school journey as well as good relationships with students and parents. Viskaforsskolan has high expectations for its students and works to help them progress as far as possible in their knowledge development and prepare them for the future. We create participation, community, and positive encounters together. The school is located along the beautiful Viskan river south of Borås, surrounded by scenic environment and consists of three buildings, a swimming hall, two sports halls with an adjacent sports field. The school also has access to a library and youth center and has two fully equipped crafts rooms for instruction in wood and metal crafts. You report to the Operations Manager and work closely with other managers and principals as well as operations developers within the Primary School Administration. You also have access to qualified support at the administration level in areas including finance and HR. Qualifications The position requires that you have a pedagogical university degree, teacher certification, and experience as a teacher. We would appreciate if you have completed principal training as well as experience leading change processes through trust-based management. We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for the whole, sees the parts, and can steer toward the goals. We want leadership focused on objectives and operational quality that systematically develops the various aspects of the operation both short-term and long-term. To succeed as a principal, we see that you have good communication skills and leadership based on participation. A principal who has the courage to point out the school's direction and create good conditions for moving forward based on current development areas with focus on students' goal attainment. You care about being a responsive, present, and trustworthy leader for both staff and students and guardians. You prioritize your pedagogical leadership and your focus is on the meeting between teacher and student. You clarify the school's mission and work deliberately and long-term to coordinate and lead important development processes. You capture ideas from staff and students and have a well-thought-out approach to how student participation should be concretized. You are a clear manager and present leader who understands the importance of unleashing staff capacity and working together on meaningful tasks. You have responsibility for results in personnel, finance, student welfare work, work environment issues, and operations development. In your role, you will work closely with the principal and other stakeholders within the operations area. The assignment may include certain school administrative tasks.
