Senior Technical Project Manager, Data Center Consolidation – Stockholm Region
A region in Stockholm County will consolidate existing data center environments and modernize IT infrastructure at one of its hospitals. The assignment is to lead the work from planning through implementation, with many dependencies between infrastructure, applications, network, security, operations teams, and external vendors. The goal is increased standardization, security, cost efficiency, and operational reliability, as well as simplified management.

What You Will Do
Plan, coordinate, and execute the consolidation of data center environments
Own and drive 2–3 parallel pre-studies during fall 2026
Describe technical challenges and prepare clear decision-making materials for management
Establish project organization, communication plan, and risk management
Coordinate internal teams with external operations vendors
Monitor budget and report to the steering committee and client
Implement changes with minimal impact on hospital operations
Requirements
Competency Level 4: At least 8 years of documented experience as a technical project manager for projects focused on IT infrastructure and data centers
At least 5 years of documented experience with assignments in the public sector
Documented experience from projects in healthcare environments and mission-critical operations (region or authority)
Documented experience leading large data center projects or infrastructure transformation initiatives in organizations with more than 1,000 employees
Documented experience with IT security work, risk management, and collaboration with external operations vendors
Good knowledge of various development methods and approaches in technical development projects
Broad technical expertise in server, storage, network, and security infrastructure
Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written
Two reference assignments from the past five years as a technical project manager (at least one in IT infrastructure/data centers for an organization with at least 1,000 employees)
Meritorious
Documented experience from projects in regions
Experience leading AD migration projects
Experience with projects affecting operations at an acute care hospital
Experience with IT workplace platforms in regions or authorities (at least 1,000 employees)
Certification in ITIL / Service Management or equivalent
