As an Accounting Specialist with our client in Göteborg, you play a central role in daily financial management—with responsibility for ongoing accounting and financial administration for the company and its related operations. For our client, finance is an important part of the whole. The finance team is part of this and works closely with operations to create structure, quality, and flow in all financial processes. Here we help each other, share responsibility, and have a day-to-day environment where it's easy to ask questions, learn, and develop together. In your role as Accounting Specialist, you contribute to correct, efficient, and quality-assured financial operations and work closely with other members of the finance function. You have a clear operational focus: you drive accounting and financial management for the group's smaller companies and operations. Key Responsibilities Responsible for ongoing bookkeeping and financial administration within your assigned areas of responsibility. Handle accruals and account reconciliations. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable. Follow up on payments, receipts, and other financial flows. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. Handle and follow up on VAT, tax, and employer-related matters within your areas of responsibility. Participate in customs and import/export-related matters when relevant. Maintain ongoing contact with external accounting firms and other external parties. Ensure that documentation and information to external parties are correct and submitted according to agreed schedules. Contribute to accounting and VAT-related matters connected to the company's international operations. Prepare documentation and information for VAT registrations and other government matters. Support the finance function otherwise as needed. Contribute to developing and improving routines, processes, and working methods. You have special operational responsibility for accounting and financial management in other parts of the group. Who You Are Post-secondary education in economics or accounting At least three years of experience in qualified accounting work. Good understanding of financial flows and accounting principles. Very good Excel skills and extensive experience working in accounting systems. Easy ability to learn new systems and work processes. Fluent communication in Swedish Qualities You take initiative and contribute to raising quality and improving the finance function's working methods.
