Nuvia Nordic AB is now seeking an accounting economist who wants to take on broad responsibility in finance and accounting. Here you'll have a varied role where you combine ongoing accounting work with financial statements, reporting, reconciliations, and development of our accounting processes. About the Role As an accounting economist, you'll be an important part of the finance function and work across the full breadth of accounting. The role involves many contact points, and you'll interact with colleagues within the company, customers, suppliers, auditors, and authorities. An important part of the role is also contributing to the development of the finance function. You'll have the opportunity to identify improvements, develop accounting processes, and contribute to smarter and more efficient ways of working. You'll also be a superuser in our accounting system, serving as an important internal resource for system-related questions. For this reason, we see that you have a genuine interest in business and accounting systems and are curious about learning new features. You'll report to the Finance Manager. You'll work with, among other things: Ongoing accounting and financial statements Bank and balance sheet reconciliations Accounts receivable and payable Invoicing VAT and declarations Annual reports Superuser for our accounting system (Briljant) Financial reporting and administration Ongoing controls, risk identification, and risk mitigation Guidance and mentorship for accounting assistants Your Profile We're looking for someone with post-secondary education in accounting and several years of experience in accounting work. You have excellent knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. We believe you're someone who likes taking responsibility and getting things done. You have an eye for detail while also being able to step back and see how processes and methods can be improved. You're comfortable working independently but also appreciate collaborating with others. Since you'll have many contact points, you're communicative, helpful, and professional in your interactions. We'd particularly like to see experience with qualified accounting work and feel confident in areas such as ongoing accounting, financial statements, reconciliations, VAT, and declarations. An interest in systems, process development, and efficiency improvements is something we see as especially valuable.
