Company Presentation Would you like to take the next step in accounting in a broad role where you can combine independent responsibility with the opportunity to develop? As an Accounting Economist at Lantmännen Biorefineries, you'll be part of a close-knit and unpretentious team where you work with the entire accounting chain while having the opportunity to contribute to development, digitalization, and more efficient ways of working. Here awaits a varied role for someone who is curious, engaged, and wants to grow with your responsibilities. Lantmännen Biorefineries is part of Lantmännen, and Division Energy is Northern Europe's largest agriculture-based biorefinery. The operation refines grain and circular by-products from the food industry with high resource efficiency and sustainability in focus. The raw materials' starch, proteins, and fibers are processed in high-tech production facilities into, among other things, grain-based ethanol, industrial spirits, animal feed, and food ingredients. Lantmännen is an agricultural cooperative owned by 17,000 Swedish farmers and operates in around 20 countries. The group works throughout the value chain from farm to table and has a clear ambition to develop sustainable and profitable solutions within agriculture, food, and energy. Tasks and Areas of Responsibility As an Accounting Economist at Lantmännen Biorefineries, you'll have a broad role where you work through the entire accounting chain, from ongoing accounting and reconciliations to monthly and annual financial statements. You'll be part of an accounting team with an accounting manager and two additional accounting economists. The team also includes four people working with customer and supplier accounts. An important part of the role is also contributing to the development of the finance function's processes, routines, and ways of working. There's an ambition to continue improving efficiency and digitalization of the work and creating better structure in existing processes. For someone who wants to develop within accounting, there's an opportunity to gradually take on greater overall responsibility and work with more advanced areas. Your main tasks include: Ongoing accounting, account reconciliations, and accruals. Monthly and annual financial statements. Work with income and balance sheet statements and understanding of the balance sheet's various items. VAT and tax returns. Reporting to the group. Contact with auditors. Contribute with initiatives and ideas to develop, digitalize, and improve processes, routines, and ways of working. Your Profile We're looking for someone who is structured and thorough with the ability to organize and prioritize your work, especially during periods with clear deadlines. You enjoy collaborating and want to contribute to a team where helpfulness, good atmosphere, and unpretentiousness are important parts of daily life. You have an analytical and solution-oriented approach and the ability to identify and handle discrepancies in accounting. You appreciate the combination of operational accounting, independent responsibility, and development and want to help shape how the finance function moves forward. To succeed in the role, you need to have post-secondary education in economics or equivalent experience. You have experience from a similar role where you have worked with ongoing accounting, financial statements, and reconciliations, where you have worked with all stages of the accounting cycle. It's a merit if you have also worked independently with annual financial statements. You have good system knowledge and feel comfortable working in accounting systems, have good Excel skills, and understand the K3 framework. The role also involves communication with, among others, Norway and Denmark, which means you need to have good knowledge of both Swedish and English. Apply Today!
