Job Description We're now seeking an accounting economist who wants a broad and varied role where you take responsibility for accounting while becoming an important part of the continued development of the finance function. You will work closely with the operations and have many contact points, both within finance and with other parts of the organization. The role is perfect for you if you enjoy having control of the details while also wanting to understand the big picture and see how finance connects with the business. Your main responsibilities will include: Ongoing accounting and account reconciliations. Accounts receivable and accounts payable. Monthly and annual financial statements. VAT and tax returns. Accruals and provisions. Management and monitoring of balance sheet accounts. Reporting and financial monitoring. Support in budget and forecast work. Analysis of results and variances. Contact with auditors and other external parties. Participation in developing and streamlining finance processes. The role is broad and you'll have the opportunity to influence how the work is conducted. We therefore believe you appreciate both working operatively with accounting and identifying opportunities to make processes simpler, clearer, and more efficient. Qualifications We're looking for someone with post-secondary education in finance, or equivalent experience, and who has worked with qualified accounting. To succeed in the role, we would like you to have: Several years of experience working in accounting. Good understanding of the entire accounting process. Experience with monthly and annual financial statements. Strong Excel skills. Experience with accounting systems. Good Swedish spoken and written. It's a merit to have experience in, for example, group accounting, annual reports, reporting, or working in a larger organization. However, we believe your personality is at least as important as your experience. As a person, you are thorough, organized, and responsible, while also being unpretentious and enjoying collaboration. You find it easy to build good relationships and thrive in a role where you have many contact points. You need to be able to work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive work forward. At the same time, you're not afraid to ask questions when something needs to be clarified.
