About the Position
As an accounting assistant with us, you have overall responsibility for the school's ongoing finances. You work in close collaboration with our principal and colleagues in Folkuniversitetet's finance department. The role requires both strong analytical skills and a structured approach.
Your main responsibilities:
Financial Statements & Accounting: Manage ongoing accounting, bookkeeping, and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements together with Folkuniversitetet and contribute to annual reports and audit documentation.
Grant Management: Request and apply for grants based on information from our participant systems.
Internal Controls & Payroll: Verify that payroll system data is entered correctly and serve as a control function for expenses in collaboration with the principal.
Accounts Receivable & Payable: Manage vendor and customer accounts, follow up on outstanding receivables and liabilities, and investigate any discrepancies.
Administration: Handle certain other administrative tasks.

Skarpnäcks folkhögskola is a dynamic meeting place located on the border between a major city and a nature reserve. We run programs for approximately 300 participants and have nearly 50 staff members. Our school is characterized by diversity and strong commitment to issues of power and norms, culture, creativity, and climate.
Together with Sundbybergs folkhögskola, we form Stiftelsen Stockholms Folkhögskola, with Folkuniversitetet as principal organization.

Your Qualifications:
A few years of experience in accounting or a similar finance role.
Good knowledge of accounting principles.
Excellent Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
Fluent Swedish in both speech and writing.
An advantage if you have previously worked with Visma Control/Edge, Medius, and HRM Flex.
