The Real Estate Office manages and develops a unique real estate portfolio that is important for Stockholm's residents, entrepreneurs and visitors. The portfolio ranges from well-known Stockholm buildings to public facilities for culture and sports, office buildings, fire stations, market halls, palaces, farms and cottages. We also manage nature and outdoor areas outside the city limits. We're located in the Technical Administration Building at Fleminggatan 4, approximately a 5-minute walk from Central Station. Welcome to us As Accounting Manager at the Real Estate Office, you'll be part of an accounting team consisting of three people: one accounting manager and two accounting economists. The team is primarily responsible for managing the office's ongoing accounting, annual financial statements, invoice handling, property assessment and more. We serve as a sounding board and provide support on accounting matters to the operations and drive improvement projects. The accounting team is part of the Finance Unit where colleagues focus on result, operations and investment monitoring. The Finance Unit is naturally integrated into many of the office's processes and we have broad contact points with high professionalism, open-mindedness and a pleasant atmosphere. Your role As Accounting Manager, you'll work broadly within the finance area. It's a varied and diverse assignment that includes both high-level and routine tasks. Work tasks include, for example, financial statements, property assessment, financial monitoring as well as more routine daily tasks. In this role, you'll conduct simple and more complex investigations that are connected to accounting in various ways. We want you to actively contribute to developing our operations and working methods by actively participating in systematic quality work and also coming with your own suggestions for improvements. To assist you in your daily work, you have two colleagues within the unit who work in the accounting team on accounting matters such as account reconciliations, monthly bookkeeping reviews, invoice handling including payment reminders and registration of bookkeeping orders from operations. The role of Accounting Manager is thus both operational and strategic – you and the team share the work, but you plan and lead your daily activities. Your work tasks include, for example: lead and participate in work with interim reports, financial statements and annual reports conduct ongoing monitoring and analysis provide support and advice to colleagues and managers on accounting matters conducting training in your area of responsibility responsibility for account and chart of accounts management ensuring that the administration's accounting and financial statements are correct and in accordance with laws, regulations and the city's guidelines conduct annual and special property assessments be the unifying link for the accounting team Your competence and experience We're looking for you who have: several years of current experience working as an accounting economist higher education in economics with a focus on accounting or equivalent education experience working with similar tasks in a larger organization very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing worked in accounting systems for large organizations, primarily Unit4 or Agresso. It's an advantage if you have: knowledge and practical experience with property assessment and income tax return experience in municipal operations or other public sector activities experience with project accounting and administration of external grants worked with process development in the finance area experience managing colleagues experience from the real estate industry As Accounting Manager, you're meticulous, analytical and skilled with numbers, and you have a natural ability to take initiative to drive things forward, either alone or with others. You're service-oriented and good at explaining financial relationships. Your personality is both attentive and solution-focused, where you have a flexible approach and can see opportunities in change. We also want you to contribute to a good and positive work climate in the group. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and your personal qualities.
