Work location: Ostrava / gradual relocation of production to Horní Těrlicka

We are BEWIT - a Czech manufacturing company based in Ostrava that has been developing and producing natural products for over 10 years. Under one roof, we create essential oils, cosmetics, food and dietary supplements that reach customers in the Czech Republic and other European countries.
Our production is growing and with it, so are the demands on its management, quality and efficiency. That's why we're looking for an experienced Production Manager who will take responsibility for the daily operation of the production facility and its further development.
We're looking for someone who knows production from practice, can lead people, and can connect planning, quality, capacity and the daily reality of operations.
You will be responsible for:
- managing and ensuring smooth operation of the production facility,
- leading, organizing and developing the production team,
- meeting the production schedule in the required timeframes, quantities and quality,
- efficient use of people, production capacity and technology,
- setting priorities and coordinating individual production departments,
- compliance with technological and work procedures,
- compliance with quality, hygiene, HACCP, GMP, occupational health and safety and other internal standards,
- resolving operational problems and eliminating their causes,
- monitoring and evaluating production productivity and performance,
- finding ways to simplify, standardize and optimize production,
- developing supervisors and other production team members,
- collaboration with production planning, warehouse, purchasing, quality, development, maintenance and logistics,
- active involvement in further development and gradual relocation of production to Horní Těrlicka.
What we're looking for:
We're looking for an experienced person from a manufacturing background who can take responsibility for production as a whole, not just one shift or part of it.
We expect that you:
- have demonstrable experience managing a production facility,
- have experience leading a large production team and its supervisors,
- understand production planning, organization and evaluation,
- can work with production capacity, priorities and productivity,
- have experience setting up or improving production processes,
- can work with data and make decisions based on it,
- are capable of solving daily operational problems while thinking about long-term improvement,
- can set clear expectations, monitor their fulfillment and provide people with feedback,
- have natural authority and can combine consistency with a fair approach to people,
- are proficient in PC and MS Office.
It's a great advantage if you have experience from food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical or similarly regulated production and practical knowledge of HACCP, GMP or other quality management systems.
It's also an advantage if you have experience with the ERP system Helios Inuvio.
What kind of manager we're looking for:
We don't want a manager who will run production only from an office.
We need someone who understands what's really happening in operations, can be among people, ask questions, seek out causes of problems and make decisions.
At the same time, we're looking for someone who can step back from day-to-day operations and gradually build production that is well-organized, measurable, efficient and ready for the company's further growth.
