Job ID: 5814 We are looking for a Quantitative Risk Analyst [Assistant/Regular/Senior] from all backgrounds and levels to join our Risk Models Data and Strategy teams, which is recognized for its professionalism, competence, and capabilities. Do you enjoy working with data analysis? Do you like solving problems and finding new and innovative solutions? Do you understand the principles of banking and are you able to apply this knowledge in your daily work? If you have previous experience with Credit Risk models, that's great! If you have a flair for data and a genuine interest in analysis, you are also welcome! About our team Meet the Credit Risk Data Management team, a part of the Risk Models Data & Strategy organization in Risk Models. We have an ambitious development plan for the development of IRB models, and together with our colleagues at Nordea, we'll be part of creating the future of banking. The Risk Models Data & Strategy department consists of 6 teams, each specialized in their own area of ensuring high-quality data supports the bank's capital foundation. We add value to Nordea and our customers by improving data quality, helping visualize and create understanding of our data so that modeling teams can build great internal models used for Own Funds calculation and for risk management. Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and we hope you share them with us. What you'll be doing As a Quantitative Risk Analyst, the specific role may vary based on your qualifications, but you could play a valuable role in data analytics, optimizing data flows, product management, or as a data governance specialist. Your role could also include coordinating data-related activities and ensuring proper communication within the teams and across other Risk Models areas. Main responsibilities in this role: Root-cause analysis for data quality issues, where we meticulously investigate and identify the underlying reasons for any discrepancies in our data. This is closely followed by data reconciliation, ensuring that our data sets are consistent and accurate across different sources. We focus on optimizing data flows and algorithms to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our data processes. Own and manage all data used in credit risk models across the end-to-end lifecycle, applying a data product mindset to capture, enhance, and realize value throughout credit risk models. Identify and govern critical data elements through strong knowledge of credit risk models, regulatory expectations, and capital. Secure our Data Governance framework and processes with a focus on effective Data Quality Controls, also ensuring documentation of Data Lineage toward all data providers and consumers for credit risk data. Preparing reports and other documentation for senior management and external reporting is also an integral part of our role, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making. You'll join an international team with a variety of backgrounds and skills. We believe that strong drive and passion for change are fundamental for delivering on our commitments. Bring your background and skills to our team, and you will have plenty of opportunities to collaborate, grow, and develop. Who you are This is the right role for you if you: Have the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Are structured and able to coordinate several deliveries simultaneously. Are self-driven and able to work independently but also enjoy collaborating with others. Have strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex data and processes to derive meaningful insights. Have good communication and presentation skills, are not afraid to speak up, and can effectively convey business requirements to IT teams and facilitate collaboration between stakeholders. Are curious and proactive, focus on solutions rather than problems, and share our enthusiasm for developing and learning and constantly improving your skills and competencies. Your background and skills include: Experience with Credit Risk modeling, capital reporting, and understanding of regulatory requirements such as BCBS239 and TRIM. Knowledge of SQL, SAS, Snowflake, Python, or similar tools. Master's degree in finance, economics, engineering, physics, mathematics, or similar field. A strong focus on results, deliveries, and deadlines. Experience with Big Data would be an asset. An interest in finance and technology. If this sounds like you, get in touch! Next steps Submit your application no later than 30/09/2026. We enable dreams and aspirations for a greater good. We build relationships. We take pride in being experts and thinking ahead. We use our expertise to meet our customers' needs, from the simplest to the most complex. We bring a growth mindset to our work that enables us to focus on a broader perspective in our daily challenges. We lead change. We are responsible and aware of the impact of our decisions, both for our customers and for our local and global communities. Mindful of our responsibility toward current and future generations, we have made sustainability an integrated part of our business strategy. We are Nordea.
