As a Quality Engineer (QE) at Preform, you'll take on a key role in our continued growth. You'll be our primary link to demanding OEM customers and ensure our product quality meets their strict expectations. At a smaller company like ours, you'll avoid heavy hierarchies and bureaucracy. You report directly to the Site Manager and have significant personal authority. You'll move smoothly between technical problem-solving, strategic initiatives, and management of digital portals. Your main responsibilities will include: Serve as the primary contact for our automotive customers on all quality matters and navigate and update customer-specific OEM portals. Independently drive and take responsibility for production approval processes and quality assurance in the production flow. Handle complaint cases and systematically drive problem-solving using the 8D method. Translate customer-specific requirements into our own production processes and work closely with production technicians and floor operators to secure the processes. To succeed in this role, you're a person with strong diplomatic skills and resilience. You stay calm and act systematically even when the pace is high and customer demands are strict. You're communicative, business-minded, and have the ability to build long-term, trusting relationships with both global purchasers and internal teams. Documented experience with quality work in the automotive industry, preferably in a customer-facing role, is a plus. Understanding of the IATF 16949 quality management system and the automotive industry's Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA). Strong familiarity with structured problem-solving through the 8D method and root cause analysis. Since our customers are global players, fluent English in both speech and writing is an absolute requirement.
