About Us Specialist Center for Children and Young People is part of Angereds närsjukhus. We consist of two equivalent clinics, one in Angered and one in Gamlestaden. Here work motivated and development-oriented employees. Together we provide specialist healthcare based on children and young people's medical and mental health needs, seeing children ages 0–18 years. Our patients often have issues affecting medical, social, and psychological aspects. The operation also has public health responsibility and works in close collaboration with municipal activities. We are approximately 90 employees at our clinics working together. The work team consists of psychologists, specialist physicians in pediatrics, child psychiatry and neurology, pediatric nurses, social workers, speech therapists, dietitians, special educators, as well as medical secretaries and receptionists. The operation has been assigned an additional temporary assignment to offer psychological treatment to children with mild mental health problems. The assignment runs from June 2026 through December 2027. The assignment involves providing psychological treatment for problems/symptoms that do not require specialist psychiatric intervention, as well as assessing the need for other care or support. The person we are looking for will work both within our specialist assignment and in the temporary treatment assignment. Our clinics are open Monday to Friday during daytime hours, and we primarily have scheduled appointments. We offer you professional supervision together with your psychologist colleagues. About You We are now looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with experience in clinical patient work with children and young people. You want to work part of your position with psychological treatment for small children ages 0–5 years and part of your time with neuropsychiatric assessments, evaluations, and interventions for children and young people within our other specialist assignment. You have experience with and feel confident conducting assessments and evaluations independently for developmental neurological functional deviations as well as treatment assignments regarding mental health in small children ages 0–5 years. It may become relevant for you to participate in one of our multiprofessional teams around children and young people with somatic diagnoses. Desirable Qualifications: Experience from Child and Adolescent Psychiatry operations, Youth Mental Health, Maternal Child Health Care, or equivalent. Training in any of the following: ADOS-2, WPPSI-IV, Griffiths III, WISC-V, VIPP-SD, WWW, CPP, DC-05, CBT, or other short-term and/or behavior-focused treatment methods for younger children. Since the work involves collaborating with parents, various professionals, and other healthcare providers, good collaborative ability is required. You work in a structured manner, are clear and organized, while also being flexible in your approach. To thrive with us, you need to enjoy working in multiprofessional teams, but also be able to work independently. You must master Swedish in speech and writing, but it is an asset if you have experience working in a multicultural area and/or speak other languages.
