Welcome to Habilitation! One of our psychologists is on parental leave, and therefore we are seeking a psychologist for the school children team at the unit for intellectual disability and autism. We are looking for you—a psychologist who with commitment and drive wants to be part of our wonderful team and develop our work in creating opportunities for people with disabilities to live a good life. We offer a full-time temporary position with start as soon as possible or by agreement, through 2027-09-30, with the possibility of extension. Your Assignment You will be part of an interdisciplinary team working with school children and young people with intellectual disability and autism. As a psychologist with us, you fill an important role in team-based treatment and assessment work. Interventions are provided individually and in groups; for patients, family members and staff. You contribute psychological expertise and take substantial responsibility in making qualified assessments, mapping and investigations, treatment plans, psychological treatments and evaluations. In your work, you will get to work with a diverse and exciting patient group and with a broad range of tasks where the focus is on a network-based approach. You will have the opportunity to design much of your work independently, but also in close collaboration with your psychologist colleagues. Your Competence We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. Previous experience working with people with intellectual disability with and without autism is something we see as a merit. The work requires that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in teams and contributing to a creative and developing work environment, as well as having the ability to work independently. As a person, you are clear in your communication and structured in your work methods and have the ability to plan and prioritize effectively. You have good pedagogical skills and can easily build rapport with patients, family members and colleagues. Personal suitability is of great importance. Our Operations Habilitation is a county-wide operation with approximately 170 employees with workplaces in Enköping, Tierp, Uppsala and Östhammar. The operation's mission is to contribute to good health and the best possible functional capacity as well as good conditions for an independent life and active participation in society for the children, young people and adults we meet. Habilitation offers services to people with congenital or early-acquired disabilities such as intellectual disability, autism and extensive mobility impairments (cerebral palsy, spina bifida, neuromuscular diseases, acquired brain injury and multiple disabilities). We provide evidence-based care based on current research and proven experience. You as an applicant will receive stimulating and varied work. Within habilitation in Uppsala County, approximately 30 psychologists work, and skill development and experience exchange occur continuously within the unit and with other units within habilitation operations. Each professional group has regular meetings in addition to continuous supervision.
