Your Workplace Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is the region's specialist resource for children and young people with moderate to severe mental health issues and neuropsychiatric functional impairments. Together with other actors in the region, we have the task of offering equal, needs-driven and cost-effective care for children, young people and their families. Collaboration with families and other actors such as schools and social services is a large and important part of our work. We are a large workplace with approximately 200 employees with different professional backgrounds. We work in multiprofessional teams and take joint responsibility for the patients who belong to the team. The patient is clearly at the center of our focus. We are now seeking a driven and engaged psychologist for Clinic 1 – one of our outpatient clinics where we offer specialized care for patients in eastern Värmland. The clinic serves patients from the municipalities of Hammarö, Kristinehamn, Filipstad and Storfors as well as parts of Karlstad. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry offers a daily routine with great variety, where our multiprofessional work contributes to continuous development. At the clinic, five psychologists work together with physicians, nurses, counselors, healthcare administrators, team leaders and a unit manager. Welcome to become part of our team! Your Responsibilities As a psychologist with us, you are a very important part of the work that takes place within child and adolescent psychiatry. You are expected to work both directly with patients and in a consultative capacity toward colleagues and collaboration partners. Patient-focused work is conducted both individually and collegially and in a multiprofessional manner. You meet children and young people, their guardians and other important people and are responsible for conducting psychological assessments, investigations and treatments. In the consultative role, you should contribute the psychological perspective and specific expertise in individual patient matters as well as in overall methodology development. Collaboration is an important part of our mission, and as a psychologist you are an important link in knowledge development. Psychologists have regular professional meetings and collaboration meetings to support each other, further develop their competence and, when needed, directly collaborate with other psychologist colleagues employed at different clinics at BUP. Your Knowledge and Competencies We're looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist. Since travel is part of the position, a Category B driver's license is required.
