Are you open to finding accepting approaches to the uncommon and focusing on what makes a difference in everyday life? Within child and youth habilitation, our psychologists work with assessments as well as support for individuals, guardians, and networks. As a psychologist at the habilitation center, you'll have creative and varied work where every meeting is unique and the uncommon is commonplace! We warmly welcome your application! The Role of Psychologist The foundation of our work is meeting with children, adolescents, and adults who come to us based on their individual habilitation needs. Our starting point is the equal worth of all people. We build our operations through meaningful encounters. Everything leads to our vision: A good life in an attractive region for everyone. Your Future Workplace Habilitation Center works with people with some form of functional impairment. Our clear starting point is that functional impairment is not a barrier within the individual but a barrier for the individual. We serve people who have • intellectual disability • permanent motor disability that is congenital or acquired during childhood, such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, or muscular dystrophy • neuropsychiatric disability combined with intellectual disability • acquired brain injury with permanent cognitive impairment equivalent to intellectual disability • significant vision impairment, blindness, or deafblindness • deafness, hearing impairment, deafblindness, sound sensitivity, tinnitus, or other hearing-related disabilities. The perspective is always medical, educational, psychological, social, and technical. This makes family members an important collaborator both regarding interventions and working methods. Your Profile We're looking for you—a licensed psychologist who enjoys working in a team. You have an interest in children and youth with disabilities. You appreciate and manage a variety of tasks and feel confident in both assessment work and support conversations and consultations. As a person, you have good planning and communication skills, you're creative and flexible with the different children, adolescents, and families you meet. We place great importance on personal suitability. For you to thrive here, you work well both independently and in a team. You need to be able to understand different behaviors within their contexts and different individuals' possibilities based on their conditions. You have good understanding of how different people acquire knowledge and have the ability to adapt communication to different contexts. Our Offer to You We offer you excellent development opportunities and unique variety in work tasks. Our teams have broad and well-established theoretical and practical knowledge about intellectual disability, mobility impairments, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, regarding both assessment and diagnostics as well as approaches and support. You contribute your expertise to a team where the climate and broad interdisciplinary knowledge create excellent conditions for continued learning and development. As a specialist clinic, we invest in continuous education and supervision. The clinic has approximately 15 competent and experienced psychologists who offer collegial exchange and support. We're seeking a full-time position, but the possibility to adjust your position according to preferences exists.
