Description Unit BUP Serious Rule-Breaking Behavior (BUP-ANB) is a new regional service that will be launched in 2026. The service builds on the government assignment Integrated Care (2021–2024) and will offer specialist psychiatric care to community-placed children and young people up to 21 years old with serious rule-breaking behavior and concurrent psychiatric care needs, when ordinary outpatient care is not sufficient. The unit will be built with four mobile interdisciplinary teams with doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists and care administrators. In total, the service will comprise approximately 25 employees. The target group is children and young people with extensive psychiatric and social comorbidity. Many have experienced care breakdowns, repeated placements and serious mental health issues, such as self-harm, trauma or behavioral disorders. The catchment area is the entire Västra Götaland region. Initially, the service is directed toward adolescents placed in SiS homes in the region. In the longer term, children and young people placed in HVB homes and within the Prison and Probation Service are also planned to be included. Organizationally, the unit belongs to the Neurology and Child Psychiatry service at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, within the section Child Psychiatry Full-Time Care and Specialist Outpatient Services. The service is mobile and meets the young person where they are. Work is conducted on a team basis with close collaboration between professions. Job Duties As a psychiatric nurse in BUP-ANB, you have a central role in the team and work closely with both the patient and the daily operations. You will, among other things: follow up psychiatric treatment interventions, including medication effects and side effects conduct psychiatric nursing assessments and contribute to comprehensive assessments follow somatic parameters related to mental illness and treatment assess and monitor, for example, suicide risk, self-harm, sleep and functional level contribute to care planning and coordination with other professions teach and implement knowledge-enhancing initiatives for SiS staff and other partner organizations Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further education in psychiatry. You have experience in psychiatric care, preferably within child and adolescent psychiatry or other services that work with patients with complex psychiatric issues. You are confident in your profession and understand the interaction between psychiatric and social factors. You collaborate well with others, are flexible, responsible and provide good patient interactions. You can work independently while actively contributing to the team's work.
