As a psychiatric nurse, you are responsible for leading and coordinating health and medical care work for our psychiatric patients. You work independently with assessments, identifying and preventing risks, and implementing orders. An important part of the role is also to mentor and educate care staff and, when relevant, delegate health and medical care tasks. Patients' needs for health and medical care vary and can range from preventive and health-promoting interventions to more advanced care interventions. This means that the work is varied and diverse, giving you the opportunity to use and develop your expertise in psychiatric care. In your permanent position, your hours are 38.25 hours per week. The permanent position means that working hours can be scheduled for on-call duty if needed. In the role of psychiatric nurse, working hours are currently scheduled for daytime, Monday–Friday. If you have experience working in municipal health and medical care, it is a merit. The work requires that you have a B driver's license as you travel to your patient visits by car.
