The Technical Department is responsible for public environment, water and sewage, waste, services, as well as projects and governance. At the center of the Technical Department is the Projects and Governance Unit, which you will be part of. The unit is responsible for the majority of the municipality's physical investment projects in real estate, infrastructure, and community development. Kristinehamns Municipality is in an expansive phase, and in the coming years, the department needs capacity to drive several exciting projects related to, among other things, new establishments, infrastructure, and various facilities. WORK DUTIES As a project manager, you will have the opportunity to drive varying investment and development projects. You will be involved through all phases of the projects, from planning to completion and handover. In your work, you will maintain close contact with contractors to ensure delivery according to requirements, timelines, and budgets. Most projects are carried out in close collaboration with clients, contractors, developers, and operations, so you will work across boundaries with multiple departments and divisions within the municipality. A large part of your work will involve contact with contractors who carry out work on behalf of the municipality. The project manager leads projects, both large and small, through the entire process from procurement to final inspection and handover. You will also work closely with our own operations staff within the Technical Department as we execute projects in-house. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone with a university or college degree in a relevant field for this position. You have previous work experience in land and development, water and sewage, construction, or roads and streets. You also have experience leading larger projects in the field. We see it as an advantage if you have: • previous experience working in a politically governed organization • experience in preparing tender documents and construction drawings • knowledge of construction law, municipal planning processes, and procurement according to LOU. Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-11-16 or by agreement.
