Do you want to lead technically complex projects that contribute to a stronger Swedish defense? As a project manager, you will have a central role in developing and procuring naval command systems for the Navy's vessels. Together with dedicated specialists, you will drive projects from need and procurement to delivery and implementation. The role involves significant responsibility, many stakeholder contacts, and the opportunity to make a real difference. Work Tasks As a project manager in our section, you lead projects and subprojects within naval combat systems on vessels. The projects may include both new acquisitions and modernization of combat management systems, sensors, communication and navigation systems, as well as electronic warfare systems. Project groups will range from 5-15 participants, each bringing unique expertise. You are responsible for planning, leading, and monitoring projects against established objectives, schedules, and budgets. Your work tasks include: Planning, leading, and monitoring projects and subprojects Coordinating project group efforts and creating conditions for effective collaboration Monitoring finances, schedules, risks, and deliverables Leading or participating in procurements and supplier dialogues Managing dependencies and interfaces with other projects and operations Preparing decision materials and reporting status, risks, and deviations Collaborating with the Swedish Armed Forces, suppliers, and other internal and external stakeholders. Travel is a natural part of the position, both domestic and international. We are Looking For You hold a civil or engineering degree, or are educated as a systems analyst or have other relevant education. Furthermore, you have project management training or equivalent competence acquired in other ways. You also have current and relevant experience working as a project manager with subordinate project members, and you have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. If you have current and relevant experience managing specialists, this will help you succeed in the role. We also view positively experience within the technical field. Perhaps you have experience with command systems, communication systems, navigation systems, or sensor systems? We also welcome technical systems experience. Experience using project planning tools, such as MS Project, is an advantage. Experience with negotiations, knowledge within the field, and speaking languages other than Swedish and English are also merits. You don't need to have worked in the defense sector previously. Experience from, for example, industry, telecommunications, IT, maritime, transport, or other technically complex operations can be relevant.
