We are now looking for a dedicated project engineer specializing in fire alarm systems for our office in Uppsala who wants to take on a key role and help ensure that our customers' systems maintain the highest quality. About the Role As a project engineer in fire alarm systems at Siemens, you will work with some of Sweden's most advanced properties and security installations. You are responsible for programming, commissioning, verification, and documentation of fire alarm systems in both large and small projects. You work closely with project managers, installers, and customers to ensure that the installations meet technical requirements, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. With us, you will, among other things: Plan and coordinate work in close collaboration with project managers and team members. Commission, configure, test, and verify fire and security systems at our customers' facilities. Take responsibility for technical processing, design, and programming. Ensure that installations meet functional requirements, technical specifications, and applicable regulations (e.g., SBF). Document completed work and follow up on activities and project finances with a focus on resource planning. Participate in technical reviews, tests, inspections, and customer meetings, and represent Siemens as a technical expert. The work offers great freedom with responsibility, where you plan your day based on project needs. The majority of work takes place in Uppsala and the surrounding area, which means you normally go home each evening (some travel within the districts of Dalarna, Gävleborg, and Uppsala counties may occur). About the Team You will become part of a cohesive team of approximately 18 employees in Uppsala who work in the field with both service and projects. We work closely together, share knowledge, and help each other create successful deliveries to our customers in healthcare, shopping centers, property owners, municipalities, and critical infrastructure sectors. You have several years of experience in a relevant technology field, but we don't expect you to know everything from the start – you will receive structured onboarding and full support from experienced colleagues! Requirements for the Position: Previous experience with project work, programming, commissioning, or technical project work within fire alarm systems, security systems, or building automation. Good knowledge of Swedish and English (both spoken and written). B-category driver's license. We believe you have: Documented experience working according to SBF regulations for at least two years. Experience with remote monitoring and documentation of fire alarm systems. CAD skills and experience with networking and system integration. Knowledge of evacuation alarms with voice messaging. Experience with technical coordination, project management, or work in security-classified operations.
