Do you want to work closely with project managers and operations – and ensure that projects deliver both technically and financially? Jernbro is seeking a business-minded Project Controller for our project operations. You will be the project managers' right hand and help the organization create control, foresight, and profitability in industrial and infrastructure projects. This is not a role for someone who just wants to report historical figures. We are looking for someone who wants to understand what is happening in projects, detect deviations early, and contribute to better decisions. Your Assignment Jernbro manages a number of major projects that often run over extended periods. Projects can encompass everything from materials and installation to procurement, labor hours, and external resources. As Project Controller, you will follow projects from start to finish and ensure there are no financial surprises. You will, among other things: support project managers with budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow-up track revenues, costs, hours, materials, and procurement analyze project profitability and identify deviations ensure that changes and additions are managed and invoiced support operations in change order management monitor commercial terms and agreements, such as AB 04 and ABT 06 develop structure, working methods, and reporting create clear decision-making documents for project management and operations contribute to making risks and opportunities visible in time An important part of the role is understanding the connection between contract, budget, execution, and final profitability. The Role Between Finance and Operations At Jernbro, project operations work on executing and delivering complex industrial assignments. As Project Controller, you will be the link between finance and operations. You need to be able to move from details to the bigger picture: understand why hours are increasing, how a material purchase affects the budget, whether a change fits within the contract, and what needs to be acted on before the project loses momentum or profitability. You don't just follow up. You help projects move forward. Who Are We Looking For? We believe you have experience in project controlling, project finance, or qualified financial monitoring in a project-oriented business. You could come from industry, contracting, construction, installation, technical services, or a similar environment where projects contain multiple financial and commercial elements. To succeed in the role, you need to: understand project economics from budget to final delivery be able to analyze costs, forecasts, and deviations have good understanding of commercial agreements such as AB 04 or ABT 06 understand change order management be confident in Excel and experienced in working with business and project systems be able to make complex information clear and usable communicate fluently in Swedish and have good English Relevant university education in finance, engineering, or equivalent is a merit. Your practical understanding of projects and business is equally important. As a Person You are curious, structured, and business-minded. You enjoy working close to operations and dare to ask questions when something doesn't look right. You find it easy to build trust and can collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, finance, and management.
