Job description: For you who are driven by technology, development, and real results How much can a production line actually achieve? How do we create the next generation of food production? How do we transform technical challenges into competitive advantages? If such questions spark your curiosity, this might be the role for you. At Orkla, you won't just be part of developing our production. You'll be one of the people driving technical development forward. We are now seeking a Production Technician who wants to combine deep technical expertise with strong operational drive. A person who enjoys analyzing processes, finding root causes, challenging established assumptions, and turning ideas into concrete improvements in the operation. Here you'll work close to production, close to the technology, and close to decisions. And most importantly: you'll see the results of your work. You are part of us when we collaborate, take responsibility, and care for each other. In this role, you will, among other things: Optimize production flows and capacity. Identify and eliminate technical bottlenecks. Lead improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and stability. Drive investment projects from feasibility study to operational implementation. Work with new technology, automation, and future-proofing of production equipment. Conduct analyses that translate into concrete results in the operation. Increase energy efficiency. Be a key technical expert in your area and be responsible for maintaining long-term plans. Who would thrive here? You are probably the person who always wants to understand why things work the way they do. When others see a production stoppage, you see a technical problem to solve. When others see a limitation, you see potential. You appreciate the combination of technology, people, and business value, and feel pride when an idea you initiated actually leads to higher capacity, better quality, or safer production. You don't need to know everything from the start. But you need to have the curiosity, drive, and willingness to constantly challenge today's solutions. We believe you have: Post-secondary education in production engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, or equivalent experience. A few years of experience from manufacturing industry. Experience with production engineering work, problem-solving, and process efficiency improvements. Good analytical ability and experience working fact-based. Ability to create engagement and drive change together with the operation. We would like to see that you have: Experience with Lean, time studies, or similar improvement methodologies. Experience with project management or investments. Experience from the food industry or other highly regulated production. Why technically driven people choose Orkla We continuously invest in our operations and work continuously to develop both processes and technology. The role involves broad responsibility where you'll have the opportunity to influence everything from minor daily improvements to larger investment and development projects.
