Do you want to lead and develop production in an operation where safety, employees, and continuous improvement are at the core? We are now seeking a Production Manager for Extrusion at the Production Unit Sandviken HOT, Tube Division at Alleima. The production unit extrudes stainless seamless tubes (so-called Hollows) of special alloys, primarily for further processing internally but also directly for the external market. Your Role As production manager, you have a central role in developing both the operation and the culture at the workplace. You create conditions for a safe, efficient, and sustainable production organization characterized by collaboration, curiosity, responsibility, and a shared desire to succeed. In the role, you are ultimately responsible for the part of manufacturing that includes Extrusion within Sandviken HOT. There are a total of 5 extrusion presses globally within Tube Alleima, of which three are located within our production unit. In the role, you have full budget and personnel responsibility and you will be part of the management team for Sandviken HOT. You lead the operation through your managers and together with them create conditions for approximately 150 employees to develop, perform, and contribute to safe and efficient production. Key Responsibilities · Have overall responsibility for personnel, work environment, and safety within the operation. · Lead and develop the operation based on targets within safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. · Drive change and improvement projects within the operation and initiate necessary investments. · Develop the organization's competence and leadership and ensure that employees have the right conditions to succeed in their roles. · Work long-term with competence supply, development, and the ability to meet the operation's future needs. Your Profile You have relevant technical academic education, for example in mechanical or materials engineering, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience, and you have previous experience as a manager with personnel responsibility within production, industry, or other comparable operation. You have a strong interest in technology, are methodical and systematic in your way of working, you enjoy being out in the operation, and you are a good relationship builder and communicator. You have good ability to communicate in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing. We place great emphasis on your leadership and your ability to create direction, engagement, and results. You can take a broader view and see the operation from a holistic perspective while being present in daily production. You work fact-based and systematically and can translate analysis into clear priorities and action. As a leader, you are responsive, curious, and clear. You create engagement by involving others, setting a clear direction, and giving people the conditions to take responsibility and develop. You build good collaborations and are at the same time comfortable making decisions, prioritizing, and driving the operation forward.
