Your Tasks
We are now seeking an experienced Production Planner for Saab. In this role, you will work to translate established design specifications into clear, executable, configuration-controlled, and traceable production specifications for robust defense industry systems.
You will play a central role at the interface between design and production, and contribute to ensuring an efficient, quality-assured, and manufacturable product throughout the entire process.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
• Creating and quality-assuring production bills of materials (BOM) • Defining production steps, operation sequences, and manufacturing preparations • Developing and updating work instructions, assembly instructions, and inspection plans • Participating in or leading process FMEA analyses to identify and prevent production risks • Ensuring design specifications are adapted for efficient manufacturing according to Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles • Acting as the link between design, production, and other support functions • Working on continuous improvements and applying Lean principles in preparation work • Participating in project groups and contributing production planning expertise throughout the project lifecycle
Travel within Sweden may occur in this position, typically in connection with meetings and project activities.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with documented experience in production planning within manufacturing industry, preferably from automotive or defense industry.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
• Experience in production planning and developing production specifications • Experience creating and quality-assuring production bills of materials, operation sequences, and work instructions • Experience with process FMEA and production risk analyses • Experience with Lean methods and improvement work • Good technical understanding and experience working closely with design and production • Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and thorough. You have the ability to break down complex products into clear and manageable production steps while maintaining an overall perspective. We also see that you are proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable driving your work independently. Your ability to collaborate and build good relationships between different functions is critical to succeeding in this role.
This position requires that you undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, certain citizenship requirements may apply in some cases.
