About the Role As a Product Owner at IST, you play a central role in translating product vision and strategy into concrete solutions that create value for our users. You work closely with development teams, UX designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the right functionality is developed at the right time. You are responsible for breaking down business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and for prioritizing the team's backlog based on product vision, roadmap, and customer value. You are the development team's primary point of contact for requirements and prioritization questions, and you create clarity throughout the development process. We are simultaneously on an exciting development journey where AI is becoming an increasingly important part of our way of working. As a Product Owner, you are expected to be curious about new tools and actively explore how AI can contribute to better analysis, more efficient workflows, faster decision-making, and even greater customer value. Your Main Responsibilities Break down themes and initiatives into epics, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria. Ensure that the development team has well-defined, prioritized, and developable requirements. Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog. Be the development team's primary point of contact for requirement clarifications and prioritizations. Ensure that deliverables support the product vision, roadmap, and business goals. Participate in release and maintenance work together with relevant stakeholders. Collaborate closely with customers, users, and internal stakeholders to understand needs and create value. Contribute to the development of new ways of working where AI and modern technology are used to strengthen product development. About You We are looking for someone with a strong drive, good organizational skills, and the ability to create clarity in complex contexts. You thrive in collaboration between business and development and are motivated by translating needs into solutions that make a real difference for users. To succeed in this role: Relevant higher education or university degree in systems science, computer science, software development, informatics, industrial economics, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience with requirements analysis, business analysis, systems analysis, or product development within IT. Experience working in agile development environments. Good understanding of software development and digital products. Ability to prioritize, make decisions, and create focus on what generates the greatest value. Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English. Strong personal responsibility and ability to drive work forward. A strong interest in AI and new technology. Curiosity about how AI tools can be used to streamline analysis, requirements management, documentation, and decision-making. Willingness to contribute to IST's continued development where AI is a natural part of how we work and create value for our customers. It is a merit if you have previously worked as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Requirements Analyst, or in a similar role.
