About the job At Campus AstraZeneca Södertälje, we meet in innovative and high-tech environments to manufacture medicines that change lives. A day characterized by unshakeable teamwork, supportive leadership, and curiosity that pushes boundaries. Welcome to our world, where half of all line managers are women and where we actively work for a healthier world: from people to planet. Where there's drive, there are opportunities: which path will you choose? SITE OSD manufactures oral medicines in the form of granules, pellets, tablets, and capsules that are then packaged and distributed to more than a hundred markets worldwide. We rank among the world's largest factories for tablet and capsule manufacturing with a volume of 12-13 billion per year. We manufacture several of AstraZeneca's largest products and are also the launch unit for new oral formulations. Your role and assignment As a production planner, you are responsible for operational production planning for your own product portfolio within OSD. You create and maintain an optimized and feasible production plan that ensures we can deliver products on time to market or forward to the next step in manufacturing—with the right balance between service, cost, and inventory levels. This is a role for you who thrive in a complex and changing production environment, where you combine analysis, structure, system understanding, and collaboration to make well-founded decisions. You work closely with production and several other functions, and contribute both to daily delivery and to further developing our planning processes, system support, and ways of working. We are looking for you who have strong drive and an interest in how data, digitalization, AI, and smart system support can be used to simplify work, increase efficiency, and enable better decisions. You enjoy collaborating with others, build good relationships, and contribute to strong cross-functional collaboration. In this role, you will: Plan and follow up on production, monitor plan fulfillment, and proactively manage deviations. Ensure capacity data in our planning systems together with production and capacity managers. Own, quality-assure, and improve master data, as reliable data is a prerequisite for a reliable plan. Work cross-functionally with production, materials planning, tactical planning, and local and global functions. Identify, drive, and follow up on improvements that develop processes, ways of working, and planning quality. Contribute to developing and improving digital solutions, system support, and AI use within planning to create smarter ways of working, increased efficiency, and better decision support. Build relationships and create alignment between different functions to find solutions. We see that you, as an applicant, have: Education: Bachelor's or master's degree at the civil engineer, master's, or bachelor level, preferably within logistics, production, industrial economics, engineering, supply chain, or equivalent. Alternatively, you have other relevant education in combination with experience deemed equivalent. System experience: Good experience working with digital tools and systems. You learn new systems and processes easily. Digital interest: Interest in digitalization, automation, AI support, and how technology can be used to improve planning, data quality, and ways of working. You are comfortable working in a structured and data-driven manner and have the ability to use data and information to prioritize correctly, identify areas for improvement, and drive improvements. Tool knowledge: Good skills in MS Excel. Experience with SAP, OMP, or other planning systems is a merit. Languages: Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Qualities that make a difference: Drive and engagement: You are initiative-taking, responsible, and motivated by contributing to an operation where what you do matters. Quick learning ability: You absorb new information quickly, enjoy understanding the bigger picture, and are comfortable getting to grips with new contexts. Digitalization and system interest: You are curious about how AI, digitalization, and smart system support can be used to simplify work, improve planning, and create more efficient ways of working within supply chain and production. Analytical and structured: You enjoy solving problems, seeing patterns, working methodically, and making decisions based on facts. Social and communicative: You have an easy time building trust, collaborating with different types of people, and communicating clearly even in situations where much is happening at once. Improvement-oriented: You see opportunities to develop processes, ways of working, and tools and are driven to make things smarter and better. How to proceed: Welcome to submit your application by September 20, 2026.
