Company Description Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 700 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that trains personnel in Swedish nuclear power, delivers nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and executes projects and assignments, and provides internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, group staffs and stakeholders. This includes activities such as development and provision of training, project management and project support, analysis management and investigations, product development, nuclear technical safety and dam safety assignments. The focus within the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. About the Role Would you like to work with technical solutions that contribute to safe, stable and future-proof energy production? As a process engineer at Vattenfall Power Solutions, you will work on assignment-based projects of varying sizes and societal importance within nuclear power and hydropower, among others. You will be part of the Mech & Process East group, where you work alongside experienced specialists in mechanical and process engineering. Here you will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge with colleagues and both broaden and deepen your expertise in process, system and mechanical design. The role is suitable for you if you appreciate technical variety and the opportunity to follow solutions from investigation to implementation. As a process engineer, you work with technical investigations, design and modifications in existing facilities. The assignments vary in scope and technical content and can be carried out both independently and together with colleagues from different technical fields. Your work tasks include, among other things: identifying and investigating needs for changes, improvements and modifications in process technical and mechanical systems developing technical solutions based on requirements, design prerequisites and facility needs working with process, system and mechanical design serving as technical support and conducting investigations for, among others, operations and maintenance organizations developing technical documentation, requirement specifications and documentation for operations and maintenance instructions participating in technical procurements and maintaining contact with suppliers planning and driving your assignments forward in close collaboration with clients and colleagues sharing experiences and technical knowledge to contribute to the group's and business unit's continued development. The assignments are carried out within different parts of Vattenfall's operations, and some of your working time will be spent on-site at the client's location. Requirements We are looking for someone who has: a university degree or engineering degree in, for example, mechanical engineering, energy engineering, energy systems or process chemistry, or equivalent competence acquired in other ways experience working with process, system or mechanical design very good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written good knowledge of English for, for example, supplier contacts and collaboration with international colleagues. If you have experience from nuclear power or particularly relevant expertise in, for example, the turbine field, the role may suit you even if you are relatively early in your career development. If you lack experience from nuclear power, we would like to see that you have several years of relevant experience from process industry, energy production or other comparable technical activities. It is meritorious if you have experience with: turbines, generators, diesel engines or other rotating or system-related equipment technical investigations or facility modifications developing requirement specifications or technical procurement documentation supplier contacts. To thrive in the role, you are curious and interested in understanding both the technology and the business needs. You take initiative, work in a structured manner and drive your tasks forward. At the same time, you are responsive and enjoy collaborating with colleagues, clients and suppliers. Because the assignments vary, you need to be able to adapt your approach when assignments, technical areas or workplaces change.
