Company Description Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 700 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that provides training for personnel in Swedish nuclear power, supplies nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and executes projects and assignments, and provides internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, corporate staffs, and stakeholders. This includes activities such as developing and providing training, project management and project support, analysis leadership and investigations, product development, nuclear technical safety and dam safety assignments. The focus within the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. About the Role Would you like to work with technical solutions that contribute to safe, stable, and future-proof energy production? As a process engineer at Vattenfall Power Solutions, you will work on assignment-based projects of varying sizes and societal importance within areas such as nuclear power and hydroelectric power. You will be part of the Mech & Process East group, where you work alongside experienced specialists in mechanics and process engineering. Here you will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge with colleagues and both broaden and deepen your expertise in process, systems, and mechanical design. This role suits you if you appreciate technical variety and the opportunity to follow solutions from investigation through implementation. As a process engineer, you work with technical investigations, design, and modifications to existing facilities. The assignments vary in scope and technical content and can be carried out both independently and together with colleagues from different technical areas. Your work tasks include, among other things: identify and investigate the need for changes, improvements, and reconstructions in process-technical and mechanical systems develop technical solutions based on requirements, design prerequisites, and facility needs work with process, systems, and mechanical design serve as technical support and conduct investigations for operations and maintenance organizations, among others develop technical documentation, requirement specifications, and materials for operations and maintenance instructions participate in technical procurements and liaise with suppliers plan and drive your assignments forward in close collaboration with clients and colleagues share experiences and technical knowledge to contribute to the team's and business unit's continued development Assignments are carried out across different parts of Vattenfall's operations, and you will spend some of your work time on-site at the client's location. Requirements We are looking for someone who has: a bachelor's or master's degree in, for example, mechanical engineering, energy engineering, energy systems, or process chemistry, or equivalent competence acquired in other ways experience working with process, systems, or mechanical design very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing good knowledge of English for, for example, supplier contacts and collaboration with international colleagues If you have experience from nuclear power or particularly relevant expertise in, for example, the turbine field, the role may suit you even if you are relatively early in your career development. If you lack experience from nuclear power, we would like to see that you have several years of relevant experience from the process industry, energy production, or other comparable technical work.
