Engagement If you are ready for new challenges, willing to use your knowledge and experience, gain professional experience in state administration, and contribute to strengthening public safety in Latvia, you are invited to join the State Probation Service team by applying for the position of probation specialist in the Vidzeme Region's Territorial Unit, Valmiera Department (1 vacancy for an indefinite period) Main duties of the position: Monitor conditionally sentenced persons, conditionally released persons before term completion, persons conditionally released from criminal liability, and persons subject to probation supervision (includes person monitoring and organization of social support, including visiting probation clients in their places of residence during night hours, together with colleagues); Organize execution of the criminal penalty - community service - and execution of an educational compulsory measure - community service; Prepare assessment reports upon request of the court, prosecutor, or administration of the institution depriving liberty; Conduct probation programs; Organize and participate in inter-institutional meetings; Prepare submissions to court and represent the State Probation Service in court. Requirements for candidates: Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; Higher academic or second-level professional higher education; Good cooperation and communication skills; Knowledge in document management matters; Understanding of criminal penalty execution issues; Good Latvian language proficiency in speech and writing; Ability to use information and communication technologies; Ethics, client orientation, analytical thinking, independence, results orientation; Desirable: Category B driver's license.
