Job Responsibilities We are seeking postdoctoral researchers who can contribute to several projects related to thermohydraulics and safety of small modular reactors (SMR). The work will involve analysis to support the design and development of large-scale experimental facilities to be built and operated at KTH and Oskarshamn. Various facilities will be designed to address important thermohydraulic phenomena relevant to both water-cooled and lead-cooled SMRs. The work will be part of national projects supported by the Swedish Energy Agency and has strong connections to collaborative projects in Europe. Qualifications Requirements A doctoral degree or foreign degree deemed equivalent to a doctoral degree. This qualification requirement must be met by the time the employment decision is made. Doctoral degree in nuclear engineering, experimental and analytical thermohydraulics, fluid mechanics. Merits At the final application deadline, no more than three years since obtaining a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a doctoral degree. Knowledge of and experience with experimental and analytical investigation of thermohydraulic phenomena relevant to the safety of water-cooled and lead-cooled nuclear reactors.
