Are you a great leader? We're looking for you to mentor young people on weekends! Would you like to help give young people a good start in working life? Poseidon is seeking mentors for the Ung Extra initiative in the North district during fall 2026. As a mentor, you'll play an important role in supporting and guiding young people during their work shifts. You'll plan and assign work tasks, provide instruction and follow up on work, and help ensure the young people gain a safe and positive work experience. The work is based in Hjällbo and Lövgärdet, and you'll work every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 10.30–15.30. About the assignment Ung Extra is an initiative by the City of Gothenburg where young people get the opportunity to work extra jobs during a term. The young people work on, among other things, basic maintenance and safety-enhancing activities in Poseidon's residential areas. As a mentor, you're the young people's closest contact during work shifts. You're responsible for: planning and assigning work tasks instructing the young people and following up on work ensuring the young people have materials and the right conditions for their tasks being a good role model and contact person for tenants supporting the young people and handling questions and any conflicts that arise. A great and proactive leader We're looking for you – someone who is a great and proactive leader and who easily builds good relationships with young people. You need to be able to take responsibility for planning and coordinating the work during shifts while being clear, reliable and supportive in your leadership. You thrive on taking initiative, creating structure and meeting young people where they are. It's a merit if you have experience mentoring or working with young people. If you've previously worked with gardens or outdoor environments, that's also a merit.
